2024 Jeep Wrangler vs 2023 Jeep Wrangler
Serving Gillette, WY
The Jeep Wrangler has been a top contender for drivers searching for a capable, rugged SUV for several decades. While the Wrangler's iconic design has only been updated moderately over the years, the vehicle has benefited from substantial improvements across its four generations. Going into the 2024 model year, the Jeep Wrangler displays updates to its capabilities, style, and cabin features. What should you know about the 2023 and 2024 Wrangler?
Performance
The diesel engine that was available for the 2023 Wrangler has been discontinued for the 2024 model year. This leaves three gas-powered engines and a 375-horsepower, plug-in hybrid powertrain. The entry-level gas engine is a 270-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder system. The other gas engines available are a 285-horsepower, V6, 3.6-liter system and a 392-horsepower, V8, 6.4-liter engine. While most Wrangler trims for both years have part-time four-wheel drive, some come with full-time four-wheel drive. Mechanical upgrades like a lifted suspension, an upgraded alternator, Fox shock absorbers, high-performance brakes, and others are included in select trims.
Appearance
The 2023 Jeep Wrangler displays a cube-like profile with a boxed-off nose and sleek door panels. The tall, flat grille has vertical bars. The nose also shows off a thick bumper and rounded headlights. The Wrangler also has powerfully flared wheel wells, several roof options, and removable doors and windows. In 2024, the body shape has been subtly angled over the top. The grille is shorter and wider and integrated with the circular headlights.
Features
Inside the cabin, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler introduces a larger central display screen with an updated infotainment system. Some of the trim-specific features offered in both the 2023 and 2024 model years are Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, keyless entry, auto climate control, heated front seats, power windows, and locks, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, a navigation system, an Alpine sound system, adaptive cruise control, a forward-facing camera, and numerous additional features.
In addition to Jeep's updates to the 2024 Wrangler, both the 2023 and 2024 versions are offered with several powertrains and trim levels for you to check out.
