Across its five available trim levels, the 2024 Jeep Compass has the same powertrain. This is a 200-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission are standard. There is also one engine available with the 2024 Grand Cherokee. This 3.6-liter V6 engine generates 293 horsepower. Four-wheel drive is available, or standard across all trims, and the model has an auto eight-speed transmission. Some trim levels also have an electronic limited-slip rear differential and an adaptive air suspension system.
Appearance
The Compass has a modern design without forsaking Jeep's recognized body language. Angled surfaces and a cascading hood across the profile mute its squared-off design. The otherwise smooth door panels are dressed up with creases, and the wheel wells are moderately squared off. At the front, you will find a wide grille with a box-style design, a layered lower fascia, and LED-enhanced headlights. The Grand Cherokee is a larger SUV with a taller, flatter profile that creates a confident look. The lower crease runs across the sides from end to end, and the wheel wells are squared off. At the front, the nose is flatter than the Compass', but it has a comparable box-type grille and rectangular headlights. The lower fascia and fog light ports also have a rectangular look.
