In 2025, the RAM 1500 takes a bold step into electrification by introducing the RAM 1500 Ramcharger. This full-size truck features a plug-in hybrid engine, closely linked to the gas-powered RAM 1500 truck and the all-electric RAM 1500 REV.
Underneath the hood, the 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger is powered by a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 gas engine alongside a rechargeable battery. The battery recharges via the gas engine's operation and through a plug-in function. With the assistance of this battery, the Ramcharger can travel up to 145 miles solely on electric power before utilizing the gas tank. It offers specialized drive modes, including Eco, Electric+, and E-Save, tailored for various driving conditions such as towing, sport, snow, and off-road. Boasting 663 combined horsepower, the Ramcharger can tow loads of up to 14,000 pounds.
The RAM 1500 Ramcharger maintains the commanding presence characteristic of other RAM trucks, featuring a towering front end, sculpted sides, and a broad, prominently contoured hood. Its distinctive wheel design showcases trimmed spokes, while the wide grille at the front displays rounded sides and horizontal accent bars. The double bars seamlessly merge into the double-barred LED headlights, accentuating the truck's imposing look.
Beyond its rugged performance on the road, the 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger has premium features ensuring comfort during long journeys. The contemporary dashboard design incorporates a digital gauge cluster and a touchscreen display ranging from 12 to 14.5 inches. Positioned in front of the passenger, an additional 10.3-inch touchscreen provides entertainment functions.
